What is the Tongue Weight Capacity of the Top Receiver Opening of part # MT70066

The MaxxTow Ball Mount # MT70066 has an overall Tongue Weight (TW) rating of 500 lbs. This means that if you are not using the ball mount portion you have 500 lbs to work with, if you are not using the top receiver you have the 500 lbs to work with, or you can combine them however you need to. Just as long as you don't exceed 500 lbs.

Please keep in mind that the top receiver is intended to be used for accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier and is not meant to be used for towing.
