Brake Controller Recommendation that Can Mount in a Concealed Location on Vehicle Dash
Question:
Once it is set and wired, is it ok to leave this device in the trunk or does it have to be at the front. I do realize I would loose any manual over ride that may be on the unit.

From a functional point of view the P2 part # 90885 would still work fine in the truck of a vehicle once properly installed and setup, however since you'd lose the ability to have the override it would not be a safe or ideal scenario.
A better option for you would be Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller - Wireless # C51180 which allows you to use a mobile app for the manual override function. If you prefer the ability to have a physical override button on your dash or console, the Spectrum # C51170 would be the route to go. Orientation of the unit will matter more than the location.
