Centering Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar

Question:

2017 chevy spark using the ez base plate. the tow bar instructions states it is to fit over the pins easy. That doesnt seem possible since the base plate arms are not 100 stationary they move a little. You can get it on easy if you lift up on one side of the base plate arm. How do you set this up so its centered, or will it center its self once connected to the RV

According to the directions of the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501, you do not need to be perfectly centered when initially attaching the tow bar. The directions state this is the the step you'll need to take in order to center: "When you drive away, steer briefly to the left and then to the right, to extend, self-center and lock the tow bar."
