Diode Recommendation To Isolate Two Power Sources For Ham Radio
Question:
Will this work to isolate a battery that is powering ham radio equiptment ? There is a 50 amp power supply that charges the 12 volt marine battery that is hooked up to ham equipment . I need to keep battery power from bleeding back into power supply. The item Im interested in is the RM 790 . Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes the # RM-790 will do what you are looking for. It will allow two power sources basically to run to the ham radio you have and will prevent the two circuits from backfeeding on to each other.
