Replacing 4-Way Round Connector with a 7-Way Round Connector
Question:
I have a coiled cable with 4 wire round connectors at both ends. I wish to replace one end with a 7 way connector. My wire colors are black, white, red and yellow. Which color wire goes to which terminal on the 7 way connector?

I am not quite sure which of your wires go where since you don't have the "standard" wiring colors. Even if you did you would still want to test them to make sure that you wired everything correctly.
Since you have a 4-way connector you most likely have the Ground, Left Turn/Stop, Right Turn/Stop, and Tail/Running Lights functions. If this is the case then for a vehicle end connector, like part # PK12-707E, then you will want to wire it the following way as you are looking at the opening of the socket:
Ground - 7 o'clock pin
Left Turn/Stop - 9 o'clock pin
Right Turn/Stop - 3 o'clock pin
Tail/Running Lights - 11 o'clock pin
If you will be wiring them to a trailer connector, like part # A7WCB, then you will want to mirror these instructions.
I have attached a picture of typical 7-Way setups for you to follow.
