Thule Bike Rack for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler with 9 Inch Thick Spare Tire
Question:
I have a 2017 Jeep wrangler 2 door with stock spare tire on back, LT255-75R-17. Tule Website says Parkway 956 4 bike, 2inch Receiver hitch has inch 9.5 inch Spare Tire Clearance and I measure my distance at just under 9. My Questions: 1. Your website recommends Thule Hitching Post Pro but I dont find that model on Tule Website. What is the Spare Tire Clearance of this model ? 2. What Ski Carrier can I buy for the Hitching post pro and now much is it ? Anything else I should think about ?

The Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack, part # TH934XTR has a hitch clearance of 13-1/2 inches.
You can use the Thule Tram, part # TH9033 to equip directly to the Hitching Post Pro, and I've included a picture of it installed on a 2 bike version of the Hitching Post Pro.
I recommend adding an anti-rattle locking hitch pin, part # THSTL2 to improve the overall security of the rack. You can also add a cable lock, part # e98891 to lock the bikes to the rack or the trailer hitch for added security.
If you plan on carrying any women's, children's or aggressive framed bikes, you'll want to get a frame adapter bar, part # 64005. This will help the bikes ride level, and reduce the risk of damage to them or the vehicle.
