Recommendation of Easy-To-Install Cargo Roof Box for 2010 Honda CR-V with Factory Roof Rack
Question:
Hi, Im looking to purchase a roof box for 2010 Honda CRV but not sure which one to pick. I only need to use it as additional storage on vacation. Please recommend the roof box that easy to install and uninstall when not needed. My CRV has Honda Roof Rack on it. Thanks.

For ease of installation and removal I would recommend the Yakima RocketBox Cargo Box, part # Y07192. This cargo box attaches easily to the factory crossbars of your 2010 Honda CR-V with clamps that slide forward and backward and tighten around the crossbars with the hand knobs. It is a much easier installation system than the cargo boxes that use a U-bolt to connect the cargo box to the crossbars.
It measures 74 inches long x 33 inches wide x 16 inches tall. It has a storage capacity of 14 cubic feet. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Yakima Rocketbox.
The Thule Sidekick Roof Cargo Box, part # TH78GC is a nice choice, but it does use the U-bolt installation kit which will take longer to install and remove, compared to the Yakima cargo box.
Anytime you are going to haul cargo on the roof of your 2010 Honda CR-V you will want to check the owners manual or with the Honda dealer for what the roof capacity is for your vehicle. The roof capacity will let you know how many pounds you will be able to haul on the roof of your vehicle.
