Recommendation for Quick Moving Powered A-Frame Jack
Question:
Looking for a fast electric trailer jack. For a light weight utility trailer. Would I have run a wire from the battery to the trailer? Would the ground for the lights work?

I recommend the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 23" Lift # JET-5000
It has a lifting capacity of 5,000 lbs which would be more than you'd need but will ensure that the jack will operate quickly and last a long time. This would be a great choice for you. I attached a video for you.
Typically this jack gets powered from a battery installed on the trailer, but it can also power from a 12 volt power circuit on the trailer wiring. You'd need to have a 7-way installed with the 1:00 pin active with 12 volts for this to work.
