How Does Demco Flat Plate Coupler Hook Up?

How do you adjust this to go the ball. It has a lot of play?

The Demco Trailer Coupler # DM69FR was designed with simplicity in mind. You only need to place the coupler over the hitch ball and lower it; ball and coupler will automatically engage. There will not be any more play and the connection will be as secure as other couplers and hitch ball connections.
