Will Front Receiver Hitch Fit on 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with Blue Ox Base Plate Kit
Question:
I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. We have already had the Blue Ox baseplate installed to flat tow it behind our RV. We would like to purchase the Meyer Homeplow, but need a 2 inch front receiver to use it. Is it possible to install at 2 inch receiver and leave the Blue Ox baseplate installed? Thanks for your help.

Since a front mount hitch receiver, like the Curt # 31432, uses the same mounting points as your Blue Ox base plate kit, you will need to remove the base plate kit from your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon to install a front mount hitch receiver. Please note that this front mount hitch is only compatible with the standard factory bumper.
Should you go this route and then need to reinstall the base plate kit you will need to use new hardware as it is only meant to be torqued down once. The same goes for the front mount hitch.
