When looking at trailer hitch mounted accessories for your 2010 Honda Pilot you will want to make sure that they have a long enough shank (the part that goes into the receiver) in order for the accessory to clear the rear of the vehicle. The measurement is taken from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance require to clear the rear of the vehicle.

The easiest way to take this measurement is to use a yardstick or other tall, flat object and place it against the rear of the vehicle. Then using a tape measurer, measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on the trailer hitch to the yardstick. This is the distance you will need to clear so the accessory does not make contact with the vehicle.

The Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, # M2200-2201, measures 4 inches from the center of its hitch pin hole to the nearest edge of the carrier. If the measurement you take on the vehicle is less than that 4 inches, it will fit. I have made a video demonstrating the measuring method that should help.

Four inches is a short distance for an accessory and if it will not work for you, we do have other enclosed cargo carrier options. I have provided a link to them for you to view.
