Supplemental Braking System Recommendation for 2017 Chevy Malibu

Question:

1. Do all of the parts required to install the RM-8700 in a 2017 Chevy Malibu come in the one package or are there additional parts required? 2. If additional parts are required what are they? 3. Will the installation of the Invisi-Brake effect the manufactures warranty on my Malibu? The Chevy dealer where I bought the car will not install the system. 4. How long should it take a mechanic to install the Invisi-Brake RM-8700? Thank you for your assistance with these questions.

With the Roadmaster Invisi-Brake part # RM-8700 you have to also install the stoplight switch kit part # RM-751481 as it is a requirement for the 2017 Chevy Malibu.

Install of the Invisi Brake is pretty time consuming and involved. The SMI DUO part # SM99251 on the other hand performs just as well, if not better, and is much easier to install. Because of that it's our installers favorite solution. You have to use the same stoplight switch kit though.
