Recommended Roof Rack for 2014 Honda CR-V with Flush Mounted Roof Rails

Question:

OK we have had this car for just 3 years and the past 2 years when we have gone for our Christmas tree I dont give it a thought until we are tying it on top. Hah, Not this year.....I opened 1 removable piece, expecting it to have a hole for the string to run thru to outer side. I also removed the rubber disk but, no hole for string:. Please explain what these are for. Many thanks!!!

It sounds like you have the flush mounted roof rails on your 2014 Honda CRV. These rails still require a foot pack, towers, and crossbars. It sounds like you may have the foot pack like the Landing Pad 14 for Yakima Control Towers Y00240. If that is the case, that is a good thing as you would need two of those kits for a roof rack. These foot packs also need the SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Fixed Mounting Points, Flush Rails, and Track Systems - Qty 4 # Y53TR and then crossbars like the 60 inch Yakima CoreBar # Y00422.

I recommend adding the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4) # Y07204 to secure your investment.

This combination will give you a roof rack for your 2014 Honda CR-V.
