Are There Guidelines for Replacement Cross Chains on Pewag Snow Chains?
Question:
We buy pewags for our snow dump trucks. Do you have guidelines when to change cross chains due to wear. Could not find anything on line.

Helpful Expert Reply:
There is not necessarily a guideline for changing the cross chains for your Pewag snow chains. Chains and links can break randomly, so it would be a good idea to have replacements like # PWE6259 or # PWE6253 (depending on what chains you have) on hand for when they are needed, and I strongly recommend also using the Repair Pliers for Heavy Truck Snow Tire Chains # TCRP3. I've linked a review video on this product for you to take a look at.
