Can Reese Steadi Flex Weight Distribution System Be Used in Rain

Just wondering about the effectiveness of the Reese Steadi Flex system in wet/cold/road salt conditions. Does the sway control maintain effectiveness when travelling in these conditions?

I checked with Reese and they list the Steadi-Flex systems like part # RP66559 as being able to used in rain or inclement weather so it would still work fine.
