Recommended Base Rail Kit for a 2017 Chevy Silverado with Reese Trail Boss 5th Wheel Hitch

I have a Reese trail boss 15K 5th wheel hitch and need the rails to install in our new 2017 chev Silverado short box. What do I need.

Since your Reese Trail Boss 15K 5th Wheel Hitch uses industry standard rails (ISR), I recommend using the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP50064-58 for 1500 models or part # RP50066-58 for 2500 and 3500 models to install this hitch on your 2017 Chevy Silverado.

Both of the above rail kits are custom fit to your Silverado which reduces drilling and measuring. The rail kit comes in a black powder coat finish with a 5 year warranty. I have attched a review video of each rail kit in addition to an installation video of each on similar trucks for you.

Since you have a short bed, you would also need a Sidewinder if you do not have a sliding 5th wheel hitch. If you have a fixed 5th wheel hitch I would need to know either the bolt spacing of your pin box or the make and model of the pin box you have in order to recommend a Sidewinder for you.
