Replacement Spring for Boat Trailer  

Question:

Looking for a replacement spring for a boat trailer with single leaf springs. It is on a trailer for a Triton TR-18 boat. The trailer manufacturer is MFI Metal Fabrication Inc in Winchester, TN. A few specs listed below: Eye to eye distance - 26-3/4 GVWR - 2900 Vehicle ID - 4X2DAMR13W1047640 Model - S-70-18 Has these #s stamped on the end of the spring: 708 N2097 Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

Thank you for the information. When it comes to replacement springs, the eye-to-eye distance and weight capacity are the most important factors. Springs flatten - or stretch - over time, so your 26-3/4 inch springs were likely 26 inches. There are two possible four-leaf options for you, and the right one will depend on your axle's weight capacity.

Spring # e27SR is for an axle with a capacity of 4,500 lbs. The other spring is # e77SR, which is for an axle with a capacity of 2,000. I've added links to video reviews of both springs for you to take a look at.
