Can Dexstar Wheel Part # AM20537 Replace Wheel with Smaller Pilot Hole
Question:
Hi, Im looking to upgrade the wheels on my 2011 Nash 21-5R 5th wheel trailer. Original wheels are 15inch x 6 with 5 x 4 1/2. Im leaning toward the Dexstar part # am20537 since it appears to be a close match of the original chrome mod wheels, which look good on the trailer. My question is regarding the pilot diameter. The Taskmaster has a pilot diameter of 3.19. My OEM wheels, which Ill keep as spares, have a smaller pilot diameter Does the pilot diamter matter in terms of mounting on the trailer, or is it just a matter of which center cap to use? Thanks.

For an application where the wheel is held on with lug nuts (and not wheel bolts) like most trailer have the pilot diameter only has to be big enough to fit over the hub and then would need to be considered if a center cap is desired. The part # AM20537 having a larger pilot diameter would not be an issue at all.
