Can the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller be Turned Off

Hello good afternoon I would like to be able to turn off the tekonsha. Can you please send the how to information so i can disable it. ... and would it be ok to drive with it on..... Please and thanks

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 referenced in your question does not actually have an on/off switch that you can use to turn off the device. If the unit does not receive any activity for several minutes, it will go into sleep mode. During this time, the unit will technically still be powered but the power draw is extremely small and will not discharge the vehicle battery at all.

Otherwise, to completely shut down the controller, you will simply need to unplug the connector from the back of the brake controller itself.
