Recommended Weight Distribution System for Trailer With Dry Hitch Weight of 540 lbs
Question:
My trailer GVWR is 7500 lbs. Hitch weight is 540 lbs. Reviewing my options for weight distribution with 2 point sway control I am considering the Fastway e2 FA94-00-1061. Is this a good choice? Other options?

A trailer with a dry hitch weight of 540 lbs is a good place to start, but in order to choose the best weight distribution system, you will first need to know your total tongue weight (TTW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
To determine your trailer's loaded tongue weight, you can use a scale such as the etrailer # e99044 or by using one of the methods outlined in the help article on determining tongue weight I've linked for you. From there, simply add on the weight of the cargo behind the rear axle of your vehicle and you'll have your TTW. The ideal system would be one in which your TTW would fall somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity.
As for the Fastway e2 # FA94-00-1061, it is rated for a total tongue weight of between 600 lbs and 1,000 lbs so if your tongue weight was somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 lbs it would be a solid economical option for 2-point sway control.
Another option to consider is 4-point sway control, which will actually prevent sway, unlike the Fastway system, which simply reduces it. Should your total tongue weight be in the 800 lb range, I recommend taking a look at the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET which is for total tongue weights between 600 lbs and 1,000 lbs, prevents sway, but also comes with brackets that clamp on just like the Fastway. It is recommended you use 1-7/8" thin walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 in order to make installation of the hitch ball a bit easier.
I've lef links to video reviews of these products for you to take a look at.
