Is this part compatible with 4X2 or just the 4X4 for the 3rd Gen 4Runners. 2000 4runner 3.4 V6 Limited Trim If compatible, what functionality is different between the part Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Rear Axle Item # CSS-1145R

For a 2 wheel drive 2000 Toyota 4Runner the Timbren you mentioned is not a fit but the SumoSprings kit part # CSS-1145R is which is pretty similar in function. For all intents and purposes this would function the same as the Timbren. Basically at a certain point as the vehicle suspension compresses the SumoSpring (just like the Timbren) provides additional support.
