Trailer Wheel and Tire Replacement for Size 7.50-15

Question:

I have a homemade trailer with 7.5 x10 tires on it now. They are not DOT approved for highway use. Need a replacement tire to fit the 10 inch rim. Not sure if this matters but it’s a 5 lug rim. Need tires to get a VIN assigned to it

Your rim is probably not compatible with the 10 inch trailer tires that are DOT approved so you are going to have to go with a new wheel and tire. Typically when we see the tire size you have of 7.5-10 the bolt pattern of the wheel is the unusual 5 on 5-1/2 inch and for that you'd want the part # AM3H453 for a similar wheel and tire. This is a wheel with a 205/65-10 mounted on it.

If you measure you between two wheel studs on center you can determine what bolt pattern you have.

If the distance is:
2-5/8" - the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2
2-3/4" - the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4
3" - the bolt pattern is 5 on 5
3-1/4" - the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2

For the more common bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2 inch you'd instead want the part # AM3H480.
