It is not necessary to lift the vehicle or tire off the ground while installing the Konig Self-Tensioning, Low-Pro Snow Tire Chains part # TH04115240 on your 2016 Jeep Cherokee. To install these chains all you will need to do is drape the chains over the tire, connect the rear cables together on the back side of the tire, then press down the locking mechanism with your foot to tension them. The chains are self-tightening therefore will fully secure themselves onto the tire as you pull away.

According to the owner's manual for your vehicle, tire chains can only be used on the front two wheels and on certain size tires depending on the trim package. This can all be found on page 564 in your owner's manual. As long as you have 225/55-18 or 225/60-17 tires on your Jeep, the above tire chains will work for you. If you have a different tire size please let me know what that size is and I can recommend the correct set of tire chains for you.
