How are Bow Guards Mounted to the Boat Trailer Winch Base
Question:
I have a very basic question about bow guards. I see that they are often mounted on the trailer winch stand, but how are they mounted? Are there threaded holes, through holes, is it done via adhesive, etc.? Wondering if you could help. Thanks

Normally, bow guards like the Yates Y-style Bow Guard, part # YR4Y22-3, are mounted to plates that are welded to the winch post. A through bolt attaches the bow guard once it is inserted between the two plates. I have added a couple of photos of boat trailers, One with a bow guard and one with a bow roller, for you to review.
