Trailer Wiring Converter Recommendation for Adding Third Brake Light to Trailer
Question:
I want to add a third brake light to a camper trailer. You provide a couple of options for the light - so how do I wire it so that this third light only comes on when the brakes are applied. Everytime I try it, I can get it to come on with brakes, but it also flashes with turn signals. Is there some way to isolate the brake only? Thanks.

You have to use a taillight converter like the part # 118158 wired to your trailer's wiring so that you can seperate out the stop light from the turn signals. Once you do that the red wire of the box will have just the brake signal for you power the third brake light. It will not blink with the turn signals.
