Correct Wedge for Pro Series Fifth Wheel Hitch

Question:

Recently upgraded to 2017 F150 shortbed from a 2013 F150 sortbed. Bout the same time I purchased reese pro series 16k as my other reese broke. I have been using sidewinder that fit great in the old reese 16k hitch. Went to hook up with the pro series and took 3 hours. Had to loosen two bolts and slide wedge 1-1/2 inches toward rear for the double jaws to close. When I got to where I was going...another 2 hours to unhook. Is there a different wedge I should be using on the sidewinder? Or any other options? Stranded with a 10 day deadline to move on..help appreciated.

For a 16K Pro Series fifth wheel that was manufactured after 2009 such the correct wedge is # 30850. This is a custom wedge that replaces the universal wedge that comes with the Sidewinder.
