Adding a 4- and 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2003 Ford F-150 with 4- and 5-Way Connectors

Question:

Hello, 2003 F250 superduty 6.8L v10 trition engine. I am trying to convert my 4 pin flat and 5 pin round trailer harness female side on the truck to a 4 pin 7 pin. However when i look at the connector it is not custom and i believe it is a curts custom part. I would love to not have to replace the wiring from the front of the truck. Is there an adapter or something that I can do do get the conversion? I have attached pictures of the connectors. Part numbers of connectors: F81B-14A624 ha-011 1F2T-14A464-HA-016

You won't have to replace all the wiring on your 2003 Ford F-250 to install a 7 and 4-Way connector. All you will need is # 37185. The 4-Way you have will plug into the 37185 (the 4-Way functions are retained).

Then ground the white wire to the truck frame. To wire in the remaining wires you will first trace your 4-Way wiring forward under the truck where it plugs into another harness. Inside this harness there will be an orange wire and a blue wire. The orange wire will go to the 37185 black wire. And the blue wire from each will connect to each other.

The last wire is the purple wire and it is for reverse lights. It will tap into a reverse light wire behind one of the tail lights on the truck. I have linked a help article below that will help.
