Can Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-105 be Installed on Torflex Axle
Question:
Have a tandem car trailer with dexter torflex axles. only information I have is build sheet saying 5200 lb. axles. Are the k23-105 brake assemblies what I need? The backing plate is 5 bolt.

Although the Left Hand # 23-105 and Right Hand # 23-106 Dexter brake assemblies are rated for 6,000 lbs, the standard brake size for 5,200 lb axles is 12" diameter x 2" wide with the 5 bolt mounting pattern. If you check out the linked review video these dimensions are shown at about the 1:05 mark.
These brake assemblies are great quality but would require more adjusting than the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459 which sits at about the same price point. Essentially you will just need to initially adjust these brakes and then they will adjust themselves as is needed.
If you don't already have a brake adjustment spoon then you may want part # W80630 as well.
