Recommended Brake Controller for a 2017 Ram 1500

Question:

I have a 2017 Dodge ram 1500 that I want to install a brake controller. Which one would you recommend? The dealer says it has to have a low amp one installed.

I highly recommend installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 in your 2017 Ram 1500. It easily installs in the plug under your driver side dash using the Plug-In Adapter # 3024-P, and has a very user friendly interface. The P3 allows you to easily adjust your brake power settings with the push of a button, has the ability to store your favorite settings, and uses an LCD screen that eliminates the need to remember what different codes mean. It also has a low amperage draw (a few milliamps when on) and shuts off automatically when it does not sense movement to save power.
