Electric brakes like our Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA can be used for marine applications.
If you use heat shrink butt connectors, like part # DW05745-5, for the install and you disconnected your trailer wiring plug from your tow vehicle before backing up your trailer into the water then you should have no problems.
