have a brake cotroller wondering if it can be installed in a 2010 toyota tundra with tow package the hwiring harness was provided with the truck

Yes, you can install the Tekonsha Powertrac, # 39523, in your 2010 Toyota Tundra. There are 2 ways you can wire in the brake controller. If the harness that came with the truck has blunt cut wires at the end that connects to a brake controller, you will need to match the wires on the brake controller to the functions on the harness as follows:
White on brake controller ground
Black on controller = 12 volt power
Blue on controller = out put to trailer brakes
Red on controller = in from stop light circuit
The other option would be to use Tow Ready brake controller harness, part # 3040-P. You would just need to cut off the end that plugs into the brake controller and then just color match the wires from the harness to the loose wires on your brake controller. White is the ground, blue is brake output, black is 12-volt hot lead, and red is the stop light switch. Then plug in the other end in the port on the vehicle. The plug is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another wiring harness near the emergency brake pedal.
