Due to the odd axle size on your trailer, you would need to have a custom axle made in order to utilize a through axle. I do have a solution for you that will take care of the axle length issue and will also take care of the suspension issues to ensure you have a proper functioning trailer.
I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Hubs - Straight Spindle - 5 on 4-1/2 # A35RS545. This system will give you the spindles and bolt right to your trailer frame for that perfect fit. It has Aeon rubber springs that it utilizes to replace any leaf spring suspension. It has EZ lube spindles to make maintenance easy and keep your trailer on the road. This system uses a 2 inch square tube that will need to be obtained locally to connect the system using the integrated holes. I've attached a video to assist.
If you want trailer brakes, you can use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs - Straight Spindle - 3,500 lbs # A35RS545E. If you add electric brakes you will need a brake controller like # 90195. I've attached an article to assist. This system can be used with dual axles and is available in other load capacities.
