How to Determine Which Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors to Use

Question:

I pulled the bearings on my trailer and they are LM11749 with the race LM11710. Cone width is .5750. Bore size is 0.6875. The OD of the bearing is 1.5700. It is a tapered roller bearing. The hub is 4 inch 4 lug and the spindle is 1 1/16 with a step down to 11/16. At the end of the repair I’d like to have bearing buddy protectors. What’s your best recommendation?

To determine which Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors are the correct fit for your application you will need to find out what the bore size of your hub is. This will be different than the bore size of your outer bearing LM11749 that you mentioned.

Once you find the bore size of your hub you can then filter through selection of Bearing Buddy options that I have linked for you. For example, Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS fit a 1.980" hub bore.
