Operation of 5th Airborne King Pin with Sidewinder

Question:

I purchased the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin from you last year and other than having to be spot on when hitching up, I love it. I have read where after the first 500 miles the unit should be able to be manually moved to better line up with the truck. I cant do that with mine. Wondering if the installers made it to tight? Not enough lubricant? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

The 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422 you ordered from us should be able to be manually moved but only with quite a bit of muscle. There is no lubrication needed at the turret, so the installers may have made it too tight if you can't manually move it at all. You can spray a little WD-40 in there and wipe off any excess to get it moving if you haven't used it in a while, but the ring under the turret is self-lubricating as it moves.
