Troubleshooting Left Side Running Lights and Turn Signals Not Working on Trailer

Question:

I have 2001 dodge durango. Hooked up trailer and only right running light and right blinker work. Hooked up another trailer and all lights work fine. I completely rewired the trailer that didnt work and still have the same problem. Everything on it is new, wire harness and lights, new plug assembly on durango.

Since all the lights worked perfectly on a different trailer when hooked up to your Dodge Durango, the issue you are experiencing is almost certainly somewhere on the trailer itself.

I recommend checking to make sure all of the ground connections on the trailer are made to clean, bare metal surfaces free of any dirt and corrosion. Since you recently replaced the lights on the trailer, check to make sure the assemblies themselves are grounded properly, specifically the left side lights that are not working. If the assembly uses a dedicated ground wire, make sure it is securely attached. If the light grounds through the mounting hardware, make sure it is attached securely to the trailer.

Also take a look at the trailer side connector for any dirt or debris inside the pins that might be preventing a solid connection with the tow vehicle.
