Recommendations For Attaching Chevrolet 1500 HD To Ready Brake System

Question:

I need a kit to equip a new truck to a Ready Brake. I have the brake but traded for new truck. Now I need the cable, protective cover, relay, wire to light in motorhome and instructions. I had a Tracker and traded for a Chevy 1500hd. Need to set it up to tow.

Unfortunately we do not carry Ready Brake products in our inventory. I can make recommendations for other systems and other towing components if you need them if you will send me the model year of your truck.

If you are interested in changing systems, I recommend something like the SMI Stay-IN-Pay DUO proportional system # SM99251. It will apply the truck brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This proportional braking reduces wear and tear on both vehicles. This braking system also is a "set it and forget it" option that makes your life much easier after the installation.

Be sure to review your Chevrolet's owner's manual for specific information on flat towing.
