Installation of Wiring Harness Keeps Blowing Fuses
Question:
my wire harness is blowing fuses as soon as i put them in. it didnt happen before

Typically when a fuse keeps blowing that means there is a short somewhere on your wiring circuits. You can isolate the issues to your tow vehicle or trailer by simply disconnecting the trailer before replacing your fuses. Once you know which end the problem is on you want to start off by making sure that your grounds are all secure and connected to clean, bare metal surfaces.
Next you will want to simply look along the wiring for any places where the wires look bent, damaged, corroded, or exposed and change that sections out with new wiring.
I have attached a link to a helpful article on troubleshooting wiring as well as a link to our selection of wiring accessories that you can filter through.
If you cannot find a problem with the wiring then it would be best to take your vehicle to your local dealer or shop and have them take a look at it.
