Installing the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack into a Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
I purchased a Swagman chinook bike rack and a draw tight class III hitch. When attaching the bike rack to the receiver, how much should I tighten the hitch pin? Please provide foot pounds of torque measurement. Can I use an impact wrench to tighten it? Thank you.

When you install the Swagman Chinook, part # S64683, Swagman recommends 40 foot pounds for its locking hitch pin.
I don't recommend using an impact wrench to install the hitch pin, as the correct installation can be achieved with a traditional wrench or socket set.
