How to Install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 on a 2018 Chevy Equinox Premier

2018 chev equinox premier. Trying to install roadmaster wiring kit with diodes. Cant figure out how to determine which wire is which in tail lights. Tried to use test light but nothing happens

To locate which wires operate which functions when installing the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 on your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Premier, you will need to use a Circuit Tester # PTW2992.

Once you remove the rear taillight housing on both the driver and passenger side you will want to use the circuit tester to probe each of the 4 wires on the main plug while a buddy goes through the different light functions.

You will then want to wire the following functions with the following color wires on the included harness:

Right Turn/Stop - Green
Left Turn/Stop - Yellow
Tail/Marker - Brown
Ground - White

If you watch the attached installation video starting at the 7:30 mark you can see this process being performed. The White wire would have already been connected to the negative battery terminal via a ring terminal that is provided.
