Recommended Tire Chains for 2016 Ram 2500
Question:
Making a trip to Colorado to hunt elk in a couple weeks. I see you've heard that one before Don't know what to expect, but want to be ready for some snow, in addition to being legal. Only see very occasional use of chains back here in PA. If at all. I've been through your web site several times, and THINK I see strong recommendations for each of the subject chains. After reading comments in your QandA, plus other site info, I'd like to have the square links. As tie-breakers in my decision, might the chain thickness be one? Might one of the subject chains be more durable than the other? Is the mounting of the TC2533 that much easier? I am almost 78, but will have several younger folks with me Are they of the same alloy? Do I flip a coin....hehehe? If I the TC3229SCAM, should I also order the TCMA2 adjuster to be safe? If Ive beaten this to death, I apologize. If Ive totally missed the point as far as appropriate chains, please tell me that, and you can be blunt. Really appreciate your guidance! And patience. Thank you.

You have definitely not missed the point on appropriate chains; you've made a couple of good choices. As for deciding on the correct tire chains for your 2016 Ram 2500, the biggest determining factor is the terrain where you will be traveling when in Colorado.
I recommend going with the Snow Chains - Ladder Pattern # TC3229SCAM, as they will be better for you if you are traveling off road at all, which sounds like will be the case considering you are taking a trip to go hunting. The ladder pattern on these chains will allow you more traction off-road and they also have slightly wider links than # TC2533. Both chains consist of the same nickel alloy and durability should not be an issue.
Chains # TC3229SCAM are also going to be a bit easier to put on your '16 Ram as you mentioned. As for the Titan Chain Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2, it is recommended you use it along with chains # TC3229SCAM to help make any adjustments.
I've included a couple links to video reviews for you, and best of luck on your trip.
