Will the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack Fit Factory Trailer Hitch and 2018 Acura RDX

Question:

Will this Kuat bike rack fit properly with bikes on, and work with trailer hitch installed by dealer on 2018 Acura RDX? including hitch lock install I would hate to have the hitch put on if not. We just bought this bike rack from etrailer for different hitch...but now arent keeping that car.

The Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR fits 1-1/4 and 2 inch trailer hitches. On the 2018 Acura RDX the factory or dealer hitch will be one of those 2 sizes. The key is to determine if there will be enough clearance between the back of the vehicle and the bike rack.

If, on the vehicle, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear-most part of the vehicle is less than 6 inches the rack will clear the back of the vehicle.

On the aftermarket hitch # 75784 the distance from the pin hole to the rear of the vehicle is 6 inches. I can't say for certain if it is the same on the factory/dealer hitches though.

The RockyMounts BackStage # RKY10002, for 2 inch hitches only, offers a little more clearance. So if the clearance measurement is less than 9-1/2 inches the rack will fit in the down position and less than 7 it will also fit when folded up.
