Electric Over Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator on Airstream Trailer With Excella Vacuum Brakes
Question:
The vacuum booster has been taken off. The trailer is equipted with the original disc brakes that are in great condition. I do not want any type of vacuum replacement because my 2016 F150 has a factory installed brake actuator. Is the HydraStar all I need and is it compatible with my Ford F150?

Expert Reply:
If the trailer has hydraulic brakes on them an EOH Hydrastar would work well, but if it's a vacuum type setup we really don't have a way to incorporate the system into that style of brakes.
You said it has calipers and rotors though which means it has some type of disc brake setup though. How do the brakes activate.
