Can the RV post on B&W Flatbed Companion Hitch be Rotated 90 Degrees?

working ona custom install can the rv post on this flatbed 5th wheel hitch be rotated 90 degree to allow the latch pin to be installed parallel to truck rather than perpendicular?

The B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3050 is intended to be used only with the B&W Underbed Gooseneck System, so any use outside of that would void the manufacturer's warranty so I can't recommend it.
The 2-1/2 inch square shaft is welded to the base but can technically be drilled and the inside sleeve rotated if that is what you are asking. This system's strength would be changed by this application and would not align with the manufacturer's tested ratings.
