Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack for a Trek Pure Town Bike

Question:

Hello, can you tell me if the Swagman XTC-2 bike rack will work for my Trek Pure bike? My concern is that the bike is too long for the rack.

The Swagman XTC-2, part # S64670 is able to carry bikes with up to a 66 inch long wheelbase, and tires up to 2.5 inches wide. According to my research, the Trek Pure has a wheel base of 46 inches, meaning it will fit comfortably inside the XTC-2's wheel cradles.

If you want to check against your bike's wheel base, you can measure from the center of where the tires touch the ground or the wheel axles. This will give you the wheel base of your bike, and is used in most rack measurements for determining fit. If its 48 inches or less, you'll be able to use most bike racks.

The XTC doesn't include any integrated security features, but they're quickly added with an anti-rattle hitch and cable bike lock, part # S64031.
