Since your 2012 Dodge Journey SXT has factory-installed roof side rails you can use the Rightline Gear Cargo Hatch Waterproof Saddlebag # RL100B90 so long as you have 40-inches between your tail lights. This light spacing matters so that the bag does not block other motorists' view of your brake and turn lights.
The waterproof Rightline offers a substantial 13-cubic-feet of cargo volume capacity (and 100-lbs of total cargo weight capacity) so it can handle big loads of camping or other gear while providing protection from the elements. Since the bag is positioned lower on the car for easy reach it will be much nicer to use than some rooftop cargo solutions that can make access more difficult.
