Does Saris SuperClamp EX Have Speed Limit

Question:

Im looking for a light weight platform bike rack for my Subaru Crosstrek, 1 1/4 inch hitch. I like the Saris SuperClamp EX because its light, folds, tilts, and it doesn't block the license plate when folded. However the Saris manual says its not to be used at speeds over 70mph. I'm concerned that I wouldn't be able to travel for long distances on highways at the speed limit with it. Is this a real issue, if so, is there another light weigh platform rack that would work?

Normally we recommend with our hitch bike racks like the part # SA4025F should not ever exceed the posted speed limit. Which in most cases 70 mph is the highest speed limit you'd see. So basically I can't really recommend you exceed 70 mph with this rack or any of the other racks we carry in order to protect other motorists as well as your bikes.
