Will Glacier Chains Fit 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71 Chains

Question:

Hi, The owners manual states that we are not to use chains on the Colorado, yet I see you have a video using chains. Are there any clearance issues running these with the Colorado? The local dealership was no help, they told us to call a local tire store, who then told us to call the dealer as nobody really knows if chains, cables, quick fit chains will fit properly. Just a bit confused about my options here, seems silly that a pickup truck couldnt run chains in the Winter. Any help would be appreciated, thank you for your time. Best Regards,

We have to recommend you stick with what the owners manual of your vehicle states for whether or not tire chains can be used. On page 314 of your Owner's Manual it states, "If the vehicle has 255/65R17 AT, 265/60R18, 65/65R17, or 265/70R16 size tires, do not use tire chains. They can damage the vehicle because there is not enough clearance."

From my research it seems your truck PROBABLY has 255/65-17 tires. If you are sure you have clearance you could use regular Titan # TC2828CAM chains with cams. If you need a low profile option you could use the Titan # TC2323 Class-S chains.
