Right Turn Signal Not Working Properly After Reverse Lights Installation on Trailer

Question:

My right turn signal flashes like it suppose to until I turn parking lights on. Then right turn signal stops flashing on trailer and truck. Worked as they should this morning on 4 wire plug but I changed trailer to 7 wire plug because I have back up lights installed and had two flat plugs. Changed it to the 7 wire so I only have one plug instead of two and give truck and trailer a cleaner look.

There are a few things that you can look into for this problem you are having. One problem could be an insufficient ground, and the other could be that the harness is overloaded.

Check the grounds on both your trailer and your tow vehicle; make sure that they are secure and connected to a clean, bare metal surface. Sometimes even some paint can cause some issues with your ground.

Since you did add some lights to your trailer it could be that the harness is overloaded, but I kind of doubt it as your reverse lights should be on their own circuit. You can verify this by disconnecting a light or two to see if that fixes things.
