Recommended Brake Controller for 2018 Tiffin Allegro Motorhome
Question:
Can you recommend a brake controller for a 2018 Tiffin Allegro motorhome? Is this something I can install myself?

Expert Reply:
For your 2018 Tiffen Allegro motorhome, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195. This is a proportional controller that will allow you to apply trailer brakes at the same time and with the same amount of force as you hit the brake pedal in your motorhome. This controller has an easy to read LCD screen that take code deciphering out of the equation.
Your motorhome will have a factory wiring harness. This plug is normally located beneath the dash, near the center console or near the steering column. If you have this adapter, you can simply use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3035-P. This will be an easy install for you by simply connecting the harness to your factory wiring and brake controller and then mounting the controller.
