Question:

State law requires carrying chains over passes in winter. What can I get for our 24 J Winnebago dual rear wheels unit? I hope to always avoid having to use them, but in an emergency might need to. Ease of use is of upmost importance. Along with safety. Ive been told clearance is a problem and was suggested s type chains. Winnebago dealer cant recommend any chains. Can you help? Thanks Our tire size is LT 215/85 R 16.

Before choosing a set of tire chains you will want to review the tire chain section of your owner's manual for any specifications in doing so.

For low-profile Class-S chains that will fit 215/85-16 sized tires I recommend the Konig # TH01594245 snow chains with steel D-link chains in a diamond pattern. These are self-tensioning chain sets that have some rim protection for your wheels.

The tire chains are easy to use and install. All you need to do in order to attach them to your vehicle is drive over the chains when they are laid out, and make the connections as needed.

These will mount on the outside wheels of your duallys.
